The book is written by a creationist who clearly doesn't understand basic science, evolution and statistics especially.
If you want your child to learn the actual science, don't pollute his/her brain with this nonsense.
The problem with the Bible that the author offers as a "solution" is that it's completely non-scientific.
- People raising from the dead
- Talking snakes
- Talking donkeys
- Talking burning bushes
- Dragons
- Four headed monster
- Global flood that geologists have zero evidence for, an ark that fits hundreds of thousands (low estimate) of animals with enough food for a year
- Man surviving in the belly of a fish for 3 days
- People turning into pillars of salt
NONE of that is scientific.
At the same time, Theory of Evolution is one of the most researched and supported theories in science. There's not a single piece of evidence that contradicts it (if you find one, I urge you to submit a scientific paper for peer review and revolutionize biology). Most importantly, evolution can be observed directly, in the lab, or in nature. We have even observed speciation, which is impressive considering we're dealing with very short time spans.
