Okay, people who know me, know that I don't tend to reach for novels about zombies. The whole concept of zombies just kind of grosses me out. *shiver* But even so, this was a title I could not put down. While it does contain zombies, *shiver again*, the way in which this story plays out is highly entertaining. I am a HUGE fan of sarcasm and wit. And I'll admit, action is never a bad thing. Jade's side of this tale is snarky, heartfelt, and entertaining. Plus, she kicks some serious zombie butt! The detail is right on point, giving you enough to paint a vivid picture in your mind, but not to the point that you are drowning in said details. It flowed smoothly from one end to the other. I giggled plenty of times at some of the descriptions. But, and here's the kicker, the way in which this all goes down came across as a plausible explanation. I could seriously entertain the notion of the story's explanation of how the zombie apocalypse would happen. *Huge Shiver* Anyhow, the point is this, it is a fantastic novella, that I thoroughly enjoyed. I fully intend to get Kylee's story and see what the difference is in the perspective. For fans of zombies, or for those that are not, this is a novella series that I highly recommend.
