The review about this product
It seems this overwrought author is in a snit online because Weinstein had the guts to call monstrous the purely prejudicial views of people like Patrick mcKinley Brennan. He teaches law, and yet does not grasp the most basic fact of living in a civil society of diverse belief. You can disagree with others' take on morality, but unless you can show that their belief "picks your pocket or breaks your bones," then you must allow for the rights of those holding said beliefs. In a democratic society a view which militates against such sane tolerance is perforce "monstrous.' And we we see the ultimate extreme of such though in the monsters in Boston. Thank God Brennan and his ilk are not monstrous to that degree. But their intolerance, and their high dudgeon about having anyone of their religion labelled so, is truly the stuff of a Maurice Sendak drawing. They are not serious. Brennan hilariously believes such critics are "extended adolescents". Would that Brennan and his friends were so mature. They are manifestly people who never have the left the Vocation of a Child. Their whole legal, moral and social view is infantile, and tantrum based, Thomistic binkies as a pacifier.
