I have been a teacher at every level of schooling, and if I had had Teaching Truly when I was teaching, both I and my students would have learned a whole lot more. And we would all have been much happier in school. Teaching truly would have given me the courage to stand up to the harmful aspects of corporate-led public schooling. And I would at the same time have discovered ways to enrich both the content and the presentation of my classes. If you are a teacher, you need to read this book and then to keep it handy for reference when you are planning your curriculum and your classes. If you are not a teacher, you need to get it for all the teachers you know and just to understand what underlies effective and liberating teaching.
