The review about this product
Latter-Day Liberty is an excellent book! Mr. Boyack did a wonderful job of providing an enjoyable read and the subject matter is of utmost importance today.
The highest praise I can give an author is that they changed my mind on a significant issue. When I previewed the book and started reading the section on illegal immigration, I thought I would not only differ from the author, but also be able to convincingly defeat any arguments that Connor provided.
After reading the chapter, I had done a complete 180 on this issue that I had held life-long and passionate opinions about. WOW!
Although, as the title suggests, the book was written from an LDS perspective, there is much of value to be had for the non-LDS reader as well. Connor's positions are well-researched and well-argued.
If I were to compare it to any other books, the first two that come to mind are Bastiat's "The Law" (my favorite political philosophy book) and Cleon Skousen's "5,000 Year Leap". Yes, it is really THAT GOOD, and as this is Mr. Boyack's first book, I look forward with great anticipation to his future endeavors!
